We recruited some female footballers to star in AFL Queensland’s #girlsplaytoo campaign.
As part of the campaign, which showcases current youth girls players and highlights the various pathways into the game, young women were picked to represent different aspects of football and those pathways.
Some of the campaign stars were handpicked from the football community, with some winning a social media competition to be involved.
In a new challenge for most, the girls simulated football poses on a trampoline, juggling the constant movement with striking a natural pose.
Representing umpires, players and female football role models, each girl embodies the strength and poise and the best parts of the sport.
Take a look at the behind the scenes clip from the shoot, the first of a series of vids about the participants.
Over the next few days, we will give you an insight into their footy experiences and why they are the perfect faces for #girlsplaytoo.
Below is the finished product, with variations featured on posters, billboards and flyers around the state.
All of the participants are passionate about football, as players and fans, and they are all excellent reminders that #girlsplaytoo.
