Meet Jana from Toowoomba Tigers NAB AFL Auskick Program.
She is in her first year as an Auskick Coordinator and is doing an amazing job ensuring her Auskickers are enjoying themselves and learning about Aussie Rules! Thanks for all your hard work, Jana, you rock!
We had the opportunity to ask her a few questions regarding her program…
How many years in Auskick/club?
I have been with the club since 2016 and this is my first year running the club Auskick.
Why did you get involved in Auskick?
I have two young boys who loved the Auskick program and wanted to give that enjoyment to other families. I took on the role of Junior Coordinator for 2021 to assist in the growth of our Club Auskick program and Footy 4 Fun age groups.
What is your favourite thing about Auskick?
I love seeing how happy the Auskickers are when they are learning about Aussie Rules. Being a part of their football journey from Auskick to club football is pretty amazing!
About Towoomba Tigers:
- Toowoomba AFC have tripled their Auskick numbers from last year
- They have a team of 5 helpers who are all aligned to either the senior men or women’s teams, who have made the transition from the youth teams
- The 8s and 10s coaching staff also assist at Auskick to maximise transition from Auskick into those age groups. Jana is also the Superstars coach for 2021
