Record numbers for Auskick in Gladstone West
Mention the word “boom” in the port town of Gladstone and many will think you’re talking industry and job growth.
But for the staff of AFLQ in Capricornia, ‘boom’ is the word they’re using for the growth in the regions NAB AFL Auskick program.
Spearheaded by new Development Officer, Ryan Spellman, numbers in the Gladstone West Auskick program have skyrocketed to over 50 participants, the highest ever in the program’s history.
The increase in happy Auskick kids, learning AFL skills and having fun means there is a whole new crop of parents getting involved – making the experience even more enjoyable.
And with Capricornia club football starting soon, lots of Auskickers are counting down the days till they join their local club.
