About the Club:
Since our inception in 1964, the Aspley Hornets Football Club has been an integral part of the local Australian Rules community. Located on the Northside of Brisbane in Carseldine, the club’s main facilities offer a home base for players and supporters alike. Catering for all ages from 6-60 years old, we pride ourselves on being a club that welcomes everyone regardless of background or skill. Our mission statement is to improve wellbeing through investing in sport, entertainment, and the community.

About the Role:
Our Women’s program has experienced a significant upturn in success both on and off the field in recent times. As we look to further forge our brand as a major contender within the QAFLW system, we are seeking to add experienced and passionate coaches to our mix. Coaches will be versed in the Aspley game style, the Aspley player standards and expectations and immersed within the culture to ensure a continual improvement in performance both on and off the field.

Our Reserve Grade Assistant Coaches are responsible for specific line development and implementation of the Aspley game style, our reserve grade coaches will ensure the understanding and education of our squad members are prioritized working with the Reserves Head Coach.

Successful Candidates will need to demonstrate:
• The desire for personal and team success, with a focus on player retention and development;
• A willingness to work above and beyond expectation in order to comply with elite standards;
• Experience with, or willingness to learn HUDL software in order to provide constructive and relevant feedback for players;
• Mentoring, communication and leadership skills;
• A strong knowledge of the game, the ability to adhere to game plans and training techniques;
• The ability to identify game structures, game styles and problem solve pro-actively as part of a coaching group;
• High level of team, time and organisational management;
• Compliance with Aspley AFC policies and procedures, and,
• A minimum of Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation.
