AROUND THE GROUNDS

Taking you around footy grounds across Queensland.

This week we’re putting a spotlight on our Superstars Footy program.

It was an action-packed Saturday morning at Morningside Panthers, hosting Carindale Cougars JAFC and Wynnum Vikings JAFC in week 3 of their Superstars season.

Eight games were held at Jack Esplen Oval with hundreds of youngsters involved.

Superstars gives clubs the option to  form a localised cluster, giving participants the opportunity to play against teams from other local clubs.

Participation numbers continue to grow across the state with over 1,800 boys and girls involved in Superstars Footy this year.

Superstars Footy is a development program for boys and girls who have graduated NAB AFL Auskick, allowing them to further develop their footy skills in game-based activities and match play before playing junior football.

Superstars Footy is played within the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast SUNS catchment zones.
