Alpha Sport Pre-Season Wrap: Week 2

Week two is in the books, and eight teams are off to the big dance.

Here’s all the scores, and what you need to know after today’s Alpha Sport Pre-Season Cup action.

Leather poisinging

It didn’t take long for Bill Hicks to announce himself in the QAFL last year at Labrador, and if his form is anything to go by today, 2016 could be even bigger. Hicks was on fire for the Tigers today, the drive he provides that team with is off the charts.

Tommy O

Tom Overington brought his own footy to Sandgate today. Within the first minutes of Sandgate’s clash with Caloundra, he had his hands on the footy at least 10 times. The only thing that slowed him down late was a few toe cramps… guess that happens when you spend all afternoon kicking the pill.

Easy on the eye

They may not have won, but I challenge you to find a better look kit than Caloundra. Gee they looked slick today.

Two scalps

Two games, two 2015 finals playing opposition, two wins. Not a bad start to the year from Mt Gravatt.

Champs still reign

Labrador and Mayne are definitely not suffering from any premiership hangover, both will play off for more silverware to add to the cupboard next week.
