AFL Queensland today announced the draw for the Alpha Sport Pre-Season Community Cup, which kicks off this Saturday March 4 at grounds across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
The Alpha Sport Pre-Season Community Cup is a three week knockout tournament across three pools, that sees clubs pit themselves against opposition in preparation for the season ahead.
“This year’s competition includes QFA clubs from all divisions and will provide a fascinating preview of what the newly aligned competitions will showcase throughout the year,” said competition manager James Dowling.
Alpha Sport General Manager Brent Messer said the company was pleased to renew their sponsorship of the cup.
“Our long partnership with AFL Queensland coupled with the tremendous relationships we have with clubs makes it pleasing to be able to invest back into Queensland football and further grow both the code and grassroots clubs,” said Messer.
Alpha Sport will provide Sports Medicine Starter Kits valued at $990 to the winners of each group.
“Our company ethos has always been to give back to our customers at grassroots level, so we are happy that these clubs will win a great selection of products to get them started for the season,” said Messer.
