After conducting AFL Combine’s to over 800 participants from diverse backgrounds and holding the inaugural Unity Cup involving two indigenous and two multicultural teams, AFL Queensland are pleased to announce the following squads:
Queensland All Nations U15 team, the All Nations team will participate in the national All Nations Championships in Coffs Harbour from April 11 – 16 2014. The All Nations team includes players from CaLD backgrounds from across Queensland.
Queensland KickStart U15 team, the KickStart team will participate in the national KickStart Championships in Coffs Harbour from April 11 – 16 2014. The KickStart team includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players from across Queensland.
Diversity Team, the Diversity team will participate in the AFL Queensland U16 State Championships in April – May 2014. The Diversity team is made up of players from Multicultural and Indigenous backgrounds across Queensland. Players can be up to 17 years of age if they are new to the game or from regional Queensland.
Please see below the initial squad for each of the teams outlined above, players selected will receive correspondence prior to Christmas outlining the next step for the programs. Please note, players will be added or reduced from the squads based on behaviour, fitness and feedback from Regional Managers / Coaches.
