The Inaugural AFL Queensland Unity Cup has been taken out by All Nations Team #1 which features players from across the state with Polynesian, African, Asian, European and Middle Eastern backgrounds.
In the Girls Community Pool the Pink Panthers were too strong for Team Blue.
All Nations Team #1 won all three matches against the KickStart SEQ and KickStart North Indigenous teams and the All Nations Team #2 from Toowoomba to claim the title.
Reuben William from All Nations Team #1 had a day to remember, taking home the player of the carnival medal on top of the win.
The Unity Cup aims to engage participants from Indigenous and Multicultural backgrounds from across the state identified via school and community talent identification combines.
AFL Queensland conducted combines to more than 800 participants from diverse backgrounds to assemble the four squads and the quality of talent on display was high.
Selectors will now choose the 2014 Queensland Indigenous KickStart and Multicultural All Nations squads for 2014 based on performances on the day.
