All-Australian honours for Queensland quartet

Four Queenslanders have been named in the 2016 AFL Youth Girls All-Australian Team.

Zillmere’s Shaleise Law, Wilston Grange’s Tahlia Randall, and Coolangatta duo Arianna Clarke and Ruby Blair all received the nod.

An initial All-Australian squad was announced after the Youthj Girls National carnival in May, with the bulk of the those players featuring in a curtain-raiser to last Saturday night’s AFL women’s All-Stars match between the Western Bulldogs and Melbourne at Whitten Oval.

The selection panel was AFL Victoria female football manager Darren Flanigan (chairman), former AFL Queensland Female Development Manager Julia Price and leading women’s players Aasta O’Connor, Daisy Pearce, Lauren Arnell and Alicia Eva.
