Now in its third year, the AFL Queensland World Fiesta is a unique event that celebrates cultural diversity through Australian Football, food and family entertainment.
AFLQ World Fiesta 2017 will be held at Leyshon Park, Yeronga on Friday July 28.
There’s footy to watch, food from India, China, the Middle East and Africa to eat, and art and craft stalls to shop.
Footy action features Lion’s Diversity Academy trial games and the QWFA (Div. 1) Yeronga V Wilston Grange match at 7:30pm
There will be performances across the evening, including the famous Hong Teck Lion Dancers at 6:30pm.
Kids can enjoy a free NAB AFL Auskick session at 5:00pm and the famous AFL Inflatable Playground.
“The AFL Queensland World Fiesta is about bringing people together at a community level to celebrate diversity,” said AFL Queensland State Development Manager Mark Ensor
“The aim of the evening is to provide an environment which welcomes people from all backgrounds and provides an opportunity to not only enjoy our game, but to experience food and music a from a variety of cultures.”
