The North Shore Jets have a second set of AFL goal posts towering over the Mudjimba Sports Complex.
The Sunshine Coast Council funded Pila goal posts on their Under 12s field will be an added bonus for the Jets for season 2014 and beyond.
AFL Sunshine Coast Manager, Paul Tresise, said the second set of goal posts at the facility is a great indication of AFL development on the Coast.
“North Shore has a fantastic AFL facility at Mudjimba and with the additional goal posts to the Under 12s field, the Jets will no doubt capitalise on participation numbers,” Tresise said.
“The Jets have had great success this year with their Under 12s boys and pulling together an Under 15 Youth Girls team who had a squad of 20 plus towards the tail end of the season.
“It is vital for clubs on the Coast to remain sustainable through facility development to ensure all participants have the best possible opportunity to get amongst the AFL environment.”
Tibor Rezes and his team at, North Style Constructions kindly donated their staff and equipment to ensure the posts were properly positioned and safely installed.
The Jets hard-working committee were also on hand to see the new posts rise and glisten over complex with Warren Selvage, Peter Bax, Peter Bradford, Mick Ryan and Eddie Bennet all chipping in.
