Mountain Creek have won the Senior Division of the Youth Girls Cup held in wet conditions on Thursday at Sherwood AFC.
The Creekers went through undefeated in the Senior division with Park Ridge SHS, St Ursula’s & Benowa SHS all finishing on 8 points each for the day and finishing in the respective order due to percentage.
Samara Christmas from Mountain Creek SHS was deemed to be best on ground for the day.
In the Junior Division, it came down to a nailbiting finish with Grace Lutheran victorious over Merrimac SHS by two points in extra time in the Final. Mountain Creek SHS, Park Ridge SHS, Victoria Point SHS & Our Lady of the Southern Cross from Dalby all finished 3rd to 6th respectively.
Kate Muller from Grace Lutheran was awarded the Best on Ground for the Junior Division final.
On hand to present the winners medallions and trophies was Tom Hickey from the Gold Coast Suns
