Three Queensland umpires have been chosen to officiate in the Australian U15 Schoolboys Championships in Canberra in July.

Field Umpire Alex Whetton (pictured), boundary umpire Nicholas Mabb and goal umpire Claudia Nicholls will fly the Queensland umpiring flag on the national stage from 23-30 July.

This comes after the State Schoolboys carnival held in Townsville last weekend, where Met North beat South Coast by a goal in the State final, and North Queensland won the country title.

Their selection is a win for umpiring ranks at Brisbane Junior and AFL Queensland levels, with Whetton aligned to BJAFL and Mabb and Nicholls part of the AFLQ umpiring program.

AFL Queensland is seeking further detail of the State U15 carnival, and players chosen in the Queensland side. This will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
