Final U23 Women’s Team


Selectors have named the final Queensland Under 23 Women’s Team to play a two match series against the Mundella Western Australia State Under 23 side this weekend.

Game 1 kicks off at 6:30pm Friday, June 9, at Leyshon Park, Yeronga.

Game 2 on Sunday, June 11, is part of a representative double header at Ord Minnett Oval, Broadbeach.

The women’s match will commence at 11:30am, followed by the men’s QAFL vs. WAAFL clash at 1:30pm.

Delisted Lions AFLW players Jade Ransfield and Kate Deegan have been selected in the Queensland squad.

The team will be coached by Daniel Merrett on Friday night and Brent Staker on Sunday. Assistant coaches will be David Lake and Marcus McDonald-Camden.

There is more than state pride on the line, with ten positions available on both the Brisbane Lions and Fremantle AFL Women’s lists.
