An extra 308,598.00 will be injected community football clubs, thanks to latest round of the Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants.
“We are pleased that our community footy clubs continue to be successful in securing funding to improve their facilities,” said Facilities and Grants Coordinator David Heilbron
“Quality football precincts play a role in attracting new families to clubs and to ensuring that our game can cater for its rapid participation growth in Queensland.
“AFL Queensland helps clubs to identify possible projects and apply for funding. We are always keen to help clubs out and encourage club volunteers to contact us.”
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund provides grants of up to $35,000 to sporting club equipment and facility improvements. The Fund is presently accepting applications for the current round, which closes on May 31st.
