 Women’s Reserve Team Coaches wanted   WILSTONGRANGE

The Wilston Grange Football Club currently has a women’s team in the QWAFL competition in Brisbane, we are delighted in nominating to have a Reserves Team in the QWAFA Division 1 competition for the 2017 season.

We are seeking to invite suitably qualified applicants to submit their expression of interest to fill various roles for the 2017 season.

The roles we are looking at to fill are as follows

  • QAFA Reserves Team Coach and Assistant Coaches
  • Female Football Manager for Reserve Team
  • Various Volunteer roles such as Umpires, Water Carriers, Trainers

With a focus on developing an inclusive and supportive club environment, we have a good mix of players and some extremely promising players, and we are seeking a dedicated people to support this group of players.

Surfers Paradise Operations Manager

Surfers Paradise Demons Australia Football Club is currently seeking suitable applicants for the role of General Manager of our Football Department.

The successful applicant will work in conjunction with the club’s Board of Management and will be charged with the joint responsibility to:-

  • Formulate contracts for players and coaches and ensure contracts are executed.
  • Ensure all contracts fall within the allocated club budget and league salary cap and that variations are brought to the club’s Executive prior to the contracts being signed.
  • Appoint appropriate team support staff, including team managers, trainers, runners, physios, etc. to ensure training sessions and game day operations run smoothly.
  • Coordinate the ordering and delivery of playing and off-field apparel.
  • Achieve defined budgetary financial targets.
  • In consultation with the Treasurer, ensure all player fees are paid in accordance with the club policy.
  • Deliver sound administration and management practices
  • Bring the club’s vision, mission, brand exposure and corporate objectives to fruition.
  • Handle all communications with AFLQ.
  • Assist the Sponsorship Committee with the management and growth of the club’s sponsorship for Season 2017.
  • Assist the Fundraising Committee to facilitate major club functions.
  • Assist the Senior Coach and Football Department with player recruitment and signings.
  • Other duties – as mutually agreed.

Attendance at monthly Board meetings and QAFL league competition meetings will be required.

The role will require a year-round commitment – average is around 20 hours per week during peak football season. Remuneration package to be negotiated.

WESTERNMAGPIES  The Western Magpies Football Club is seeking the services of a experienced Senior Assistant coach for our coaching program for season 2017.

This is a senior coach’s position with key responsibilities on training nights and game day.

Successful Applicants must deliver:

Ability to develop the playing group
To provide a Great Club Culture within the playing group
Work closely with the other coaching staff, the football department and associated members
Help promote a pathway from our Youth teams to senior level
Coaching Staff must hold a minimum of a Level 1 Cert in Senior coaching

The University of Queensland Australian Rules Football Club (UQAFC) Red Lions are an amateur Football Club playing in Divisions 1 & 4 of the South East Queensland Men’s competitions as well as in QWAFL and QWFA (Previously QWAFA) of the South East Queensland Women’s League.

Located in close vicinity to Brisbane’s CBD in Toowong, our club attracts many new players and support staff from all over the country, year on year. In 2017 we have a strong and very realistic focus on playing finals football across all grades as well as being recognised as the best administered club in South East QLD.

To finalise our coaching appointments for the upcoming season the club is currently seeking expressions of interest for enthusiastic, experienced or up and coming personnel for the following positions:

  • QWFA Coach

Some of your responsibilities and experience will include:

  • Player skill development and training strategies;
  • Formulating training programs for the entire group and/ or individual players;
  • Reporting any deficiencies requiring urgent attention in performance and training to the Senior Coach (where applicable);
  • Acting as a match day selector or part of the selection panel;
  • Attend and assist all formal training sessions;
  • Assist in and / or be responsible for formulating club game plans;
  • Conducting opposition analysis where required;
  • Fulfill match day duties in coaching box or as directed by the Senior Coach (where applicable);
  • At all times support and reflect the club values and standards;
  • Assist in the management of all on-field resources, ensuring that loss of club resources (eg. playing/training equipment) is minimized; and
  • Other duties as required.

The UQAFC are a supportive and collaborative sporting club who live by a philosophy of “think big, act small”. We actively strive to be the club for “smart footballers” and whilst we have a terrific social culture at the club, winning football games and developing good people who support the local community are also very important components.
