University of Queensland Red Lions AFC – Assistant Coach’s QAFLW (Senior/Dev)

Celebrating our tenth season at the highest level of women’s footy in South East Queensland, the UQ Red Lions AFC are seeking expressions of interest for assistant coaching roles for the 2022 season for both our QAFLW and QAFLW development team.

The club is immensely proud of its 2021 season, winning the QAFLW premiership and appearing in the preliminary finals of the QAFLW development competition. The club has taken great strives to develop an inclusive and supportive environment that places a focus on player and coach development. In 2022, the club is determined to build on our success and strengthen and diversify our coaching group with the aim of minimizing the gap between State League and AFLW.

We’re looking for coaches who display:

• Strong knowledge of AFL football;
• Ability to play their role in a strong coaching/teaching environment;
• A passion and commitment to continuous improvement;
• An understanding of the importance of constant feedback;
• The ability to work cohesively and constructively with other coaches
• The ability to build rapport and trust with players;
• A self-motivated approach with a commitment to achieving results;
