2014 saw the Women’s League split into two competitions. The Queensland Women’s Australian Football League (QWAFL) and the Queensland Women’s Amateur Football Association (QWAFA).
The QWAFL is a state league competition has a professional focus on attracting and developing talented players.
The QWAFA provides an entry point for new clubs and players and focuses on the development on female football.
