  • 10-12 Years Girls – Open to girls who turn 10, 11 or 12 years of age in 2020
  • 13-14 Years Boys – Open to boys who turn 13 or 14 years of age in 2020
  • 13-14 Years Girls – Open to girls who turn 13 or 14 years of age in 2020

The selection process for the above teams commences in mid February each year.

How do I attend a Queensland School Sport State Championship?

The Queensland School Sport State Championships consist of 12 Regions all vying for the title of STATE CHAMPION.  Each Region consists of numerous Districts.

In most cases you will need to trial for a DISTRICT team first.  Once selected for a DISTRICT team you will represent that team and trial for a REGIONAL team.  Once selected for the REGIONAL team you will represent that team at the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

To trial for a DISTRICT team you will need to contact your School’s Sports Master or HPE specialist who will provide nomination information and paperwork (AFL Queensland staff cannot provide this paperwork).

Which REGION do I represent at the Queensland School Sport State Championship?

In the Queensland School Sport system every school in Queensland is aligned to a DISTRICT within a REGION.  Which DISTRICT (then REGION) you represent will depend on which school you attend.  If you are unsure of which DISTRICT your school is in, please click the links below.
