In 2012 AFL Queensland’s major school competitions underwent a rebranding process, aligning them with Queensland’s two AFL Clubs: The Brisbane Lions and the Gold Coast SUNS. As each club has a designated ‘zone’ within Queensland, where your school is situated will determine which competition it participates in.
BRISBANE LIONS CUP
Divisions of this competition are open to schools in the greater Brisbane area, Darling Downs, Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay areas.
GOLD COAST SUNS CUP
Divisions of this competition are open tos chools in the Gold Coast, Northern Rivers, Capricornia, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and Cape York areas.
