JLT Community Series – Tickets on Sale

Footy fans eagerly awaiting the return of the best men’s players to ovals across Australia can secure their tickets to the JLT Community Series from today.

AFL club members have access to tickets to this year’s JLT Community Series today, ahead of the general public ticket release tomorrow, Wednesday February 1, at 9am local time.

For the third consecutive season, AFL club members with game access will be entitled to attend pre-season matches, as part of the JLT Community Series, free of charge (subject to availability and venue capacity).

In December, it was announced that the Australian Football League (AFL) would partner with JLT (Jardine Lloyd Thompson), one of Australia’s leading specialty-focused providers of insurance related advice, brokerage and associated services for the pre-season competition over the next three years.

The 2017 JLT Community Series will see all 18 teams play three matches across a four-week stretch between Thursday February 16 and Sunday March 12 to lead into the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

Six matches will be played across each of the first three weekends of the competition, giving all clubs one bye with every club playing on the final weekend.

Reigning premiers, the Western Bulldogs, will return to their spiritual home at the Victoria University Whitten Oval when they host Melbourne on Saturday, February 18.

The format of recent seasons has again been followed by bringing the game to the backyard of communities across Australia. The majority of matches will be played at regional or suburban venues that don’t normally host AFL Football during the regular Toyota AFL Premiership season.

Six of the JLT Community Series matches will be played as double-headers with games of the NAB AFL Women’s Competition.

All 27 matches in the JLT Community Series will again be exclusively broadcast live by Fox Footy. In addition, every match will also be made available live to fans via the Telstra AFL Live App.
