Safe and Fun, NAB AFL Auskick is the ideal introduction to football for for children aged from five to 12. Through skill games, activities and modified match practice participants will learn and familiarise themselves with all the skills required to enjoy AFL.

Junior AFL is club football for girls and boys who have completed a few sessions at NAB AFL Auskick and feel ready to start playing the game.  Junior football is also for new players and is modified to suit each age division.

Under 15 Youth Girls (age 12-15)

The Under 15 Youth Girls competition is a 12-a-side all girl competition with a wrap tackle played on a 130m field to encourage open running and plenty of ball time for each player.  All standards welcome.

Under 18 Youth Girls (age 14-18)

The Under 18 Youth Girls competition is a 16-a-side competition played on a full size field with full tackle rules.  This is a great transition for players aged between 14 - 18 years before they progress to Women's League.  

AFL Brisbane Juniors has 4 teams in their competition with potentially 6 or the 2013 season.  This competition is played on Friday nights and Saturday mornings fortnightly to allow for girls in this crucial age to be able to balance their sporting aspirations with school and university studies.  Click here for email to AFL Brisbane Juniors.

NOTE: National Policy allows girls to play in mixed gender teams until the age of 14, after which, they are required to participate in female only competitions.

Women's League is an open-age competition for women. It provides the full skills base required for AFL but with modified rules it is still a safe and competitive environment.

There are competitions in South-East Queensland, Capricornia and Cairns.
