Skill Clinics

AFL Queensland's AFL Skill Clinics are designed to incorporate the following core content of the Health and Physical Education Syllabus:

- Components of movement, in particular body awareness and space awareness;
- principles of movement;
- skills acquisition;
- relationships between health, physical activity and fitness;
- strategic awareness.

AFL Skill Clinics focus on the key learning area of Developing Concepts and Skills for Physical Activity, but cut across all key learning area strands.

AFL Queensland's development staff deliver these lessons over a three week period; consisting of 3 x 30 minute sessions. Schools can incorporate these lessons into their HPE timetable or use them to complement their existing activities.

AFL Queensland provides its development services free of charge and is committed in providing consistent and reliable service to all primary schools.

Please do not hesitate to contact your regional office if your school wishes to implement an AFL program.
